Did you already received Pergamano Magazine number 23? In this number we will demonstrate what can be done with a single pattern. Certified Pergamano® teacher Gerti Hofman worked with the Dresden Flowers technique. Below you can read how the Dresden Flowers techniques works.

PAINTING USING TINTA IN DRESDEN FLOWER TECHNIQUE

Apply 4 shades of blue onto the palette. A = 3 drops T blue, B = 2 drops T blue with 1 drop of water, C = 1 drop T blue with 2 drops of water and D = ½ drop T blue with 2 drops of water. (look closely at the colour example).

Paint the picture in the Dresden Flowers technique (with the exception of purple flowers on stem, hair and skin): all petals from the outer edge towards the centre of the flower. Hat, panels parasol, dress and 3D-skirt: from bottom to top.

The darkest colour (A) is applied first to the left most parts of the dress, 3D-skirt and flowers. The lightest colour (D) is consistently applied to the right most parts of the dress, 3D-skirt and flowers. The parts in the middle are painted in the hues in between. A shading from light to dark occurs on every part of the dress and 3D-skirt.
Should the dress, the 3D-part and the flowers still be too light in colour repeat the process until the colour is dark enough, but leave the lightest parts nice and light.

Hat: First apply colour A to the left side of the hat. Quickly clean the brush and immediately take colour D onto the brush and in short brushstrokes paint from bottom to top from the light right part onto the dark left part so the colours can fade into each other.Bodice dress: paint in same way as the hat.Panels parasol: paint using tinta blue, purple and fuchsia per panel in the same way as the hat.
Should the hat, bodice dress and parasol still be too light in colour repeat the process until the colour is dark enough, but leave the light parts nice and light.

Hallo, moeten de kleuren eerst drogen voor je opnieuw de kleur aanbrengt of moet je gelijk met de kwast over de kleur heen? Ik ben heel blij met deze uitleg verder, hartelijk bedankt daar voor. met vr.gr. Inge
